Documentation

The documentation of our heritage is done through means of collection and transcription of historical works about Bonaire and its inhabitants. Additionally, we record (folk)stories (oral history) and folkloric music by means of interviewing and filming. All FuHiKuBo’s productions are in Papiamentu, promoting the use of our local language as a vehicle of transmission. Some have been translated / subtitled into Dutch and/or English.

We now have over 2000-recorded interviews, many documentaries and specials on a variety of topics pertaining to Bonaire's intangible cultural heritage. Furthermore, manuscript, articles and books have been written and published.
