FuHiKuBo is accredited by UNESCO as an NGO contributing to the documentation and safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), giving the foundation international recognition for all the efforts in its work on Bonaire and other islands of the former Dutch Antilles.

Our director, F.D. Antoin, has been a member of the UNESCO Workgroup Bonaire since 2014 and has attended all the sessions of the Capacity Building Project of the 2003 ICH Convention throughout the years 2014-2018 sponsored by the Netherlands for Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and St. Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba and Surinam.
